Dogs are Welcome in Las Vegas, Too!
You don’t have to leave your dog behind at home when you decide to vacation in Las Vegas. Pack up your clothes, personal care items, as well as dog food and your dog. There are many hotels in Las Vegas that allow pets, as well as many parks and places you can take your dog during your vacation.
Just make sure to check with the hotel you are considering staying at for their policies on dogs. Each of them has their own rules and regulations on bringing your dog. Americas Best Value Inn – Limited pets
Best Western Main Street Inn- There is a $15 pet fee per day and pets cannot be left unattended in the room.
Best Western Nellis Motor Inn – Pets are allowed with restrictions and costs $10 per pet.
Candlewood Suites Las Vegas – Pets are allowed with restrictions. Pet must weight less than 80 lbs and a pet agreement must be signed. Non-refundable fee is based on length of stay. Fee can be up to $75 for 1-6 nights and up to $150 for more than seven nights.
Emerald Suites Las Vegas – There is a non-refundable fee of $25 per day. For extended stays, there is a non-refundable $50 weekly fee.
Extended Stay America Las Vegas – Boulder Highway – There is a $25 per day non-refundable cleaning fee. Only one pet is allowed.
Extended Stay Deluxe Las Vegas – East Flamingo – Fee is $25 per day non-refundable. Only one pet allowed in each room.
Homestead Las Vegas – Midtown – Only one pet per room with consideration of more at the discretion of the general manager. Fee is $25 per day.
Red Rock Casino Resort Spa – Dogs 30 pounds and under welcome at resort. There is a $100 non-refundable fee per stay. Plus, you will have a refundable equal to your rate for one night per room at registration.
The Westin Casuarina Las Vegas – Pets 40 pounds or less are welcome. Pets that are over 40 pounds require approval. Pet bed, food bowl and mat are provided.
These are only a few of the many hotels in Las Vegas that allow you to bring your beloved dog. However, remember that you cannot leave your dog unattended in the room. Therefore, you will need to find a kennel to take your dog when you are ready to get out and visit the wonderful city of Las Vegas. Your dog is on vacation, too! There are kennels that will treat your dog like a “king” or “queen” complete with spas and treats. Make sure you are allowed to visit your dog at any time during your stay in Las Vegas.
Of course, if you are planning to bring your dog with you, you are likely a person who likes to spend time with your dog. There are many places to spend time and have fun with your dog. Two of the most popular places are:
Sunset Park – This is a traditional urban recreational park. They have ball fields and playgrounds and plenty of fresh green grass and trees. They do not have an extensive trail system; however, they have a paved trail around a pond.
Valley of Fire State Park – The red sandstone rock formations are from shifting sand dunes. This is the place to go for the serious hikers, as well as relaxing walks, for those who like bringing their dogs along. There are nine short interpretive trails that are easily accessible from the park roadways. The most popular trail is the White Domes Loop Trail in the far northern section of the park. This path circles through rock formations and a slot canyon. It is one mile long complete with stone ruins from a movie “The Professionals”. Many movies have captured these stone ruins on camera. If you just want a short walk for you and your dog, there are trails to accommodate you, as well! This is a place you do not want to pass up. Visit it everyday on your stay in Las Vegas and you and your dog will never be bored! It will be like a true vacation for you dog, as well!
