Packing for Your Las Vegas Trip
One of the many decisions you have to make before you even leave for Las Vegas is what you should pack. This can be frustrating, as you only have so much room for all the things you want to bring.
So, what type of clothes do you pack for your trip to Las Vegas? What do people wear in Las Vegas? Basically, you pack whatever your heart desires. Las Vegas is a very non-judgmental city, and there are literally “no rules” for what you should and should not wear. However, some places will have dress codes on whether to dress up or dress casual. You should think of what you are most comfortable in and go from there. However, remember you are on vacation and want to “get away” from your everyday life. Therefore, you should pack some things you would not normally be able to wear at home. You will get away with what you choose to wear in Las Vegas.
Daytime clothes will likely be those clothes you are most comfortable in, such as jeans, light dresses or shorts. You want to think of how much you are bringing. Shorts and light dresses will not take up as much room. Also, as far as shoes go, make sure you bring along a pair of shoes that are already broken in. Do not purchase brand new shoes and wear them for the first time in Las Vegas. You will be doing a lot of walking and you need a comfortable pair of shoes. There is nothing worse than having sore feet in Las Vegas!
Evening wear dress codes may be stricter than daytime. This is because more people are out visiting shows and nightclubs. Also, more upscale restaurants may require nice attire. For these places, you will want to be a bit more dressed up. However, you will not want to bring something that is too bulky for packing reasons. Pack a couple of nice dresses and a pair of heels that will go with more than one dress. Of course, it is up to you on what you want as your dressier attire, but dresses tend to pack well. For men, pack at least one jacket for the restaurants that may require a jacket, as well as nice pants.
Don’t forget to pack swimsuits. You may think you will not be swimming with all there is to see and do in Las Vegas. However, Las Vegas has many world class pools, as well as Jacuzzis. You may want to relax in a Jacuzzi after a long day of shopping and sight seeing in Las Vegas. Do not forget to have appropriate cover-ups and footwear. Some hotels will supply robes for you.
There are many natural attractions near Las Vegas you will not want to miss out on just because you didn’t pack for it. Be sure to pack t-shirts and shorts for short hikes, as well as sturdy sneakers and socks to protect you from scratches and bug bites. Wear light colored clothes if you plan to visit the desert. Be sure to pack a light jacket, as temperatures vary in different areas of the natural attractions.
You are now ready to go to Las Vegas. There are hundreds of things to see and do in Las Vegas. From casinos to shows to shopping to natural attractions, you will find something wonderful in Las Vegas. Pack accordingly, and you will enjoy all there is to see and do in Las Vegas.
