Knight Rider Enthusiasts Gather For Charity

“One man can make a difference”
On Friday and Saturday March 20th and 21st, 2009 fans from all over the world gathered for The Knight Rider Festival on Fremont Street, in Las Vegas.
Organized by Paul Casey, Paul Casey Productions the proceeds generated were donated to The Children’s Miracle Network.
Groups supporting this event included Knight Rider Online, Knights of the West Coast, Will it Make it.com, Shelby Automobiles Inc, and Barris.com.
KITT replica owners were spread out all over Fremont Street, intermixed with Mustangs from Shelby Automotive.
Two replicas that stood out were the Delorian from Back to the Future 2 and the “DeceptiKARR”, a hybrid of KITT’s evil twin KARR and a Decepticon from Transformers.
Friday night the Golden Nugget hosted a VIP party for guests and celebrity guests alike. Among the distinguished guests was Justin Bruening from the new and updated Knight Rider on NBC as well Glen Larson who created the original series and executive produces the new series.
Saturday featured 2 Q&A sessions where fans could speak the Knight Rider Alumni followed by a photo and autograph session.
Justin Bruening appearance at the second session was by far the most attended by fans and spectators. He briefly spoke to fans before jumping behind the autograph table.
Saturday night festivities included Rebecca Holden (April Curtis from the original series) serenading the crowd with songs from her new CD. As well jam session from event organizer Paul Casey.
The most interesting musical performance was from Stu Phillips (original series theme composer) who rapped the lyrics to the original Knight Rider theme…
Organizers are already planning for next year’s event on March 21st which has been declared by Mayor Oscar Goodman as Knight Rider Day in Las Vegas!
