When you think about Las Vegas, do you think of the glitzy lights and gambling casinos? Or, maybe you think of the Grand Canyon. What you probably do not think about are the many haunted hot spots that are located all throughout Las Vegas.

For a unique adventure in Las Vegas, reserve a room at one of the haunted hotels that have been discovered to have unsettled spirits haunting them. If you are a little on the daring side, take a risk of running into one of those spirits while on your stay in “Sin City”. If you are not one of those dare devils, now is the time to step out of your comfort zone and make some memories! How often do you get to visit this wonderful city?

You might be surprised to learn that these haunted hot spots are not hidden in some run down town in Las Vegas. In fact, they are right there in the center of the action!

Listed below are just a few of the most popular haunted hot spots in Las Vegas:

  • Tropicana Resort and Casino: This is located at one of the most popular corners of the Strip. Upon arrival, you will notice a large Tiki mask in the front lobby. Many guests and employees have reported they feel this is the source of the paranormal activity happening in the resort. It has also been reported that those who dare to touch the Tiki mask have later found a rash on the part of the body that touched the mask. Others have reported that when they have taken a picture in front of the mask, there would be a large purple mass hovering in the photos.

  • The Flamingo: This casino’s history dates back to 1946. Bugsy Siegel, a very famous mobster, came up with the idea to develop a hotel in the Sin City. He convinced many so-called “friends” to invest in the most glamorous hotel of its time. The problem was that the casino cost three times as much as they thought it would cost and the visitors began to dwindle down. The Flamingo failed and the “friends” were very angry that they lost so much money. They turned on Siegel and killed him one year later in the casino. It has been reported by visitors and employees that they have seen Siegel’s apparition in different parts of the hotel, especially in the Presidential Suite and the hotel pool. Dare to take a swim in the Flamingo’s pool when you dare to stay in the hotel!

  • Nellis Air Force Base: Located northeast of Las Vegas, mechanics and other workers have reported spooky things happening during the late night hours in the Jet Engine Intermediate Maintenance Facility Building 858. They have reported to have seen a gray apparition and unexplained footsteps. This gray apparition seems to be like a mist that floats a few feet above the ground. Some of the employees have reported a ball of light hovering two stories above the ground. Spooky!

  • Bally’s Las Vegas: This was originally the first MGM Grand in 1973 and was built on the former site of the Bonanza Hotel. This was the world’s largest hotel of its time. Sadly, on November 21, 1980, a fire broke out in the casino and was labeled as one of the worst building fires in U.S. history. In 1985, the hotel was rebuilt and sold to Bally’s. It has been reported that the stairwells and hallways are haunted by the ghosts of those who died in the MGM Grand fire. According to some, apparitions have been seen in the halls on the higher floors in the north tower, as well as in the stairwells and elevators.

These are only a few of the many haunted hot spots of Las Vegas. Make this trip to Las Vegas one you will never forget. Visit a haunted hotel and have something outrageously cool to share with those back home!
